Madison Police respond to 5 shots-fired incidents over the weekend

Here is more information from the Madison Police Department:

Friday Oct 20 at 11:53pm – 1200 block Dayton Street: Officers responded to the 1200 block of Dayton Street for reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No reported injuries at this time. An unoccupied vehicle was struck. Shell casings located. Investigation continuing.

Saturday Oct 21 at 2:31am – 3700 block Karstens Drive: Officers responded to the 3700 block of W. Karstens Drive for reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No reported injuries or property damage at this time. A casing was located. Investigation continuing.

Saturday Oct 21 at 4:35am – Warner Park Beach: Officers responded to Warner Park Beach for reports of shots fired. Areas checked. Signs of a disturbance (shell casings, blood, bottles) located. Maple Bluff PD located a vehicle parked with a flat tire and damaged by gunfire. The two occupants denied knowing what occurred and requested the assistance of an attorney. One of the subjects had a swollen lip. Investigation continuing.

Sunday Oct 22 at 11:11pm – Hammersley/S. Whitney Way: Multiple people, including two officers, heard several gunshots on the city’s southwest side late Sunday night. Several people reported hearing the shots in the area of Hammersley Rd. and S. Whitney Way around 11:11 p.m. No injuries, property damage or shell casings were located. No arrests have been made.

Monday Oct 23 at 12:36am – Mid Town Road/Marty Road: Multiple people called to report hearing gunshots on the west side early Monday morning. Officers were sent to the area of Mid Town and Marty roads around 12:36 a.m. They found 12 shell casings in the road while canvassing the area. No injuries or property damage were reported. No arrests have been made.
