Did you know you the Red Cross will provide you with a free in-home smoke alarm installation?
It’s part of their Home Fire Preparedness Campaign. “At no cost to you, we would like to demonstrate some simple changes in the home that will help you protect your family against fire.”
You can schedule an appointment on their website and you will receive:
Installed smoke alarms if no working smoke alarms are present in your home
Guidance in the development of a Family Disaster Plan
Valuable emergency preparedness tips and information
All demonstration and installation services will be performed by Red Cross-trained volunteers and/or licensed/insured professionals.
During a special Sound the Alarm event on Saturday, April 15. The Red Cross hopes to install 600 free smoke alarms in the greater Madison Area. For more information call 888-376-4045.
