Do you worry about being taken advantage of by fraudsters and scammers? Defending yourself against these professional victimizers begins with having a solid understanding of how frauds and scams operate especially in our complex, increasingly electronic, banking system. Paula Severson, who is the Branch Manager at the Bank of Sun Prairie’s Cottage Grove branch, will talk about the common red flags of fraud, the most common types of elder financial exploitation, telephone scams, identity theft self-check, what to do if you’ve been scammed, and much, much more.
