You Can Help the Candidates!

by Safety Connection

Candidates who support community policing and body-worn cameras for Madison police officers are running in very tight races in a spring election to be decided on Tuesday, April 4.

How can YOU help?

Volunteer to:

  • Distribute flyers in their neighborhoods
  • Drop off yard signs (or post one in your yard!)
  • Make calls to district residents
  • Host or help host a campaign event

Or contribute financially to their campaigns!

These days to successfully run for city alder, candidates end up spending thousands of dollars and many hours of their time just to get the word out that they are running. It’s not for the faint of heart.

But having a team of grassroots volunteers available to help makes all the difference!

Here are the pro-body-camera/pro-community-policing alder candidates who are in critical races. Please reach out to their campaigns to offer your help and support. You don’t have to live in their districts!

If you don’t have time to volunteer or the ability to give financially, you can still make a difference! Encourage your friends, co-workers and family to vote for these candidates!

You can enter an address on this city website to find out what city district you or someone you know lives in.
