Do You Know How to Survive an Active Attack?

by Safety Connection

Would you know what actions to take if you heard gunshots while in a theater or grocery store or at house of worship, school or business? Most active threat situations are over in less than 5 minutes—often before first responders can arrive on scene.

Dane County Deputy Josalyn Longley and retired Deputy Cindy Holmes offer an excellent presentation on surviving an active attacker situation. For their July meeting, RSVP of Dane County’s Triad group has invited these experts to give a special virtual training, and you’re invited to attend.

Learn how to recognize the signs of a possible attack or workplace violence. Discover if the buildings you live, work, play, learn and worship in are prepared for an emergency. And find out how you can survive and fight back against a violent intruder or active killer and render aid to victims.
