Common Council Shelves Tear Gas Report

Last night the Madison Common Council voted to place on file (shelve) rather than accept the report it requested from Madison Police about the department’s use of tear gas which you can find here.

During the meeting Alder Patrick Heck told the body, “I plan to find a path to banning or at least severely limiting tear gas usage.” Alders voting to place the report on file (shelve) were: Abbas, Albouras, Bidar, Evers, Foster, Heck, Kemble, Lemmer, Martin, Prestigiacomo, Rummel and Verveer.
